The song was inspired by the short movie “Les Voyage dans la Lune” created in 1902 by Georges Méliès which itself bases on the science fiction novel “The First Men in the Moon” from H.G. Wells published in 1901. The movie is an exciting artifact from the early days of motion pictures and is a joy to see.
Fortunately, the above-mentioned film is available on YouTube – if you are interested, just watch it mutet – and play “Cavorit” (for example via Spotify) in parallel.
